DFW Adoption is a registered charity, a Not for Profit organisation based in Durham operating throughout the North East of England. We find adoptive parents for children from many different backgrounds who cannot be brought up within their own families.

  • We offer a specialist service to adopted people who wish to find information about their original family.
  • We provide advice and support to birth relatives of adopted people.
  • We can advise people wishing to trace their birth relatives placed through adoption.
  • We operate a weekly duty system offering skilled advice and will provide information about accessing external search and reunion services.
  • We cover the whole of the North East of England
